Charlotte Rose at 4 months!

Charlotte turned 4 months old on Mother's day. I can't believe how quickly she has grown and is no longer my little newborn! She is such a social girl who likes to be up looking around and watching people. If you look in her direction she will just smile and coo at you. Her new favorite thing is sticking her tongue out and licking anything around her. She will grab onto toys and her clothes and everything heads straight to her mouth. Charlotte can get bored these days without a toy or person to focus on. She likes interaction and gets plenty of it from her big brother!

At her checkup yesterday she weighed 13 lbs and 14 ozs (a little above 50%) and was 25 1/4 inches long (a little above 75%). Her head is still only in the 5% range, but it is growing steady so she may always just have a small head. This mama was thankful her small head at birth!

She took her first road trip and despite her usually dislike of the carseat she did very well. This past month she has moved in Trey's room. I was so nervous about this transition, but they both do so well!! Even if they are both awake when I put her to bed (Trey goes to bed first) they are content to fall on asleep. Trey often sings to her and she flings her legs around in the crib and 15-20 minutes later they are both asleep with no help from us. She is sleeping from about 8pm-6 am most nights and takes 4-5 short naps a day. Unless she is in the swing she doesn't like to nap for longer than 45 minutes.

Charlotte holds her head up so well and rolls onto her side to reach for toys. In the past week she has really started drooling and pulling on her mouth so I thought a tooth might be in the works. Sure enough the peditarician said she felt something on her bottom right side so we may be into the real teething stage before too long!
